Feeding Recommendations

Purina has come out with 2 different feeding recommendations for Purina Fit and Trim dog food. One is for a 25% reduced calorie diet, and the other is for weight maintenance.

According to Purina, feeding amounts shown on the chart should help your dog lose 2% of their weight per week.

DON'T fee this product to female dogs who are pregnant or nursing. Also don't feed it to growing puppies or hardworking dogs.

Switching Dog Foods

If you do decide to switch your dog to Purina Fit and Trim brand Adult Dog Food from another dog food; you should allow 7 to 10 days for the transition.

Just gradually add more Purina Fit and Trim and less of the previous food to your dog's dish each day until at the end of 10 days you are feeding only the new food.

Here are some suggested feeding tips from Purina:

>You can serve the food moistened by adding warm water (3 parts kibble to 1 part liquid).

>Make sure your dog has plenty of fresh water at all times.

>Measure your dog's food servings based on the chart shown.

>Split your dog's daily food intake into several small meals per day.

>Avoid feeding your dog fatty snacks.

>Allow your dog to exercise.

>Monitor your dog's weight every week.
